Torn Paper Name Art
Write your child's name on a large piece or construction paper. Get some tissue paper or other scrap paper for your child to tear up and scrunch into a ball. Using. glue stick, have them stick the paper onto each letter of their name.

Letter Writing in Flour or Salt
Spread some flour or salt on a table, placemat or cookie sheet. Use letter cards to practice writing letters or numbers, or practice name writing.

Water Writing
Grab a paintbrush or a sponge and write words, letters, or draw pictures to tell a story. This is a great outdoor activity for summer! You can even add color to make "paint".

Shout out a letter and have your child find the letter somewhere in the house! For a challenge, they can go find something that starts with that letter once they know the letter sounds.
